Although it's not officially summer on the calendar, summer has arrived in the desert. For me that means upping my SPF, walking the dogs before dawn, finding new reads and answering "I'm bored" at least five times before noon.
Supergoop has two formulas that work really well for my sensitive, combination and reactive skin. The Glow Screen is a tinted SPF 40 that plays well with my other skincare and layers well under foundation. As the name states, it is luminous like a highlighter, so fair skinned ladies likely cannot wear this alone without feeling like their face is giving off a Tin Man vibe. The Matte Screen performs as well as the Glow Screen but gives a completely shine-free finish.
The Starless Sea is a great book for those of you who want something more weighty than a beach read. This is Erin Morgenstern's follow up to her bestselling The Night Circus. Summer is also a great time to reread Haruki Murakami's haunting Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World or Tom Robbins' hilarious journey through time, Jitterbug Perfume.
The next person to request summer entertainment is going to cook. Or pick up dog poop. Enough said.
